Mouth-watering recipes inside!
As dawn breaks over the Pont Neuf, and the cobbled alleyways of Paris come to life, Anna Trent is already awake and at work; mixing and stirring the finest, smoothest, richest chocolate; made entirely by hand, it is sold to the grandes dames of Paris.
It's a huge shift from the chocolate factory she worked in at home in the north of England. But when an accident changed everything, Anna was thrown back in touch with her French teacher, Claire, who offered her the chance of a lifetime - to work in Paris with her former sweetheart, Thierry, a master chocolatier.
With old wounds about to be uncovered and healed, Anna is set to discover more about real chocolate - and herself - than she ever dreamed.
Customer Reviews
La Boheme throughout
A superbly funny and moving book, with so many developments from Anna’s school life to much later on, interposed with that of her French teacher Claire and their joy of Paris and les gens francaises.. Florence Unsworth taught me French very many years ago and the Cholet family in Montlucon and Roanne bring me memories too. I would love to try to read this book in French!
Lovely Story
Great book as usual by Jenny. Not long come back from Paris so it was good reading the names of streets and attractions! Did seem to eat a lot of chocolate whilst reading this book!
Stunning
I loved this book so much, I found myself unable to put it down at 2 in the morning and then cried because of the end and because it had ended. I felt as though I was in the story watching the characters and places. Superb
