Kimberly Belle is the author of The Last Breath, The Ones We Trust, and The Marriage Lie. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College and has worked in fundraising for nonprofits at home and abroad. She divides her time between Atlanta and Amsterdam.

Will and Iris Griffith have the perfect marriage and a dream home, and they've just started talking about children on the morning that Will leaves for a business trip in Orlando. When a plane bound for Seattle that same day crashes and kills everyone on board, Iris is stunned to discover Will's name on the passenger manifest, and the conference in Orlando at which he was scheduled to speak turns out not to exist at all. With the help of her brother, Dave, Iris attempts to learn why Will was bound for Seattle, and in the process, she discovers that almost everything she knew about Will is a total fabrication, including his birthplace and his friendships and there's also a large sum of money suddenly missing from the company where he worked. Each piece of the puzzle seems to create more questions than answers, especially once Iris's phone begins receiving anonymous text messages ranging from concerned to outright threatening. This is not a unique premise, and Belle's (The Last Breath) main villain is a little bit cookie-cutter, but numerous skillfully executed twists will force readers to constantly shift their allegiances from character to character, never entirely sure who to trust or what's really going on. A surprising and fast-paced read.

A brilliant read that will have you gripped from start to finish!
Hooked by just reading the blurb for this book, I couldn’t wait to get stuck in. This is my first book by Kimberly Belle and it certainly won’t be my last. An enthralling page-turner with amazing twists and turns that will leave you wondering how well you know your own partner?!
Iris is in a love bubble with her husband Will, things couldn’t be better. Happy in her job, living in their dream home and trying for a baby, they are the picture-perfect couple. Unfortunately, their bubble is very quickly burst when Iris gets the worst phone call of her life, informing her that Will has died in a plane crash!
Iris is not only distraught, but she is very confused. Will was meant to be flying to Florida, but the plane that crashed was heading to Seattle! Why would her husband lie about where he was going? We follow Iris as she digs deeper and deeper into her husband’s past, revealing secrets and lies, she soon realises she didn’t really know her husband at all!
Fast-paced with a maze of twists and turns, this suspenseful story had me reading into the early hours. Whilst I did predict parts of it, this did not affect my enjoyment of the book. So much happens in this story that I never tired of reading it and couldn’t wait to pick up my kindle every chance I got!
I loved Iris as a character, she felt very real and my heart broke for her at times. However, she also came across as a strong, determined woman and I was rooting for her every step of the way as she didn’t give up in her quest for answers.
A shocking and suspenseful read with a fantastic ending! I highly recommend this book for lovers of psychological thrillers!
The Marriage Lie
A heartfelt yet gripping book. I really connected with Iris, feeling her pain and anger while loving her sweet, supportive family. The plot itself is fantastic and very interesting but overall I think what makes this book so good is that it is driven on emotion – desperately wanting to understand Will is what made this book a real page-turner for me. Loved it and finished it in a day!

I really enjoyed this book. Read some reviews that it looses its appeal half way through but I disagree.
