 Tabitha set down the things she had purchased from the general store on her kitchen table. She pulled out a crisp sealed letter that she had picked up at the post office.

Tabitha had thought that her married days were over. Since her first husband, Alexander, had died, she had thought that the rest of her life she would live alone, with no one to call family. But the years had been rough on her and she had begun to feel lonelier than she'd even thought was possible...Until she answers Terrence's advertisement in the Matrimonial Times, the two exchange letter after letter and fall in love with each other's words. They finally meet and marry but en route to their new home in California they encounter a murderous Indian tribe that tries to hunt them down.
