We hear from Clover Quinn—a 12-year-old desperate to discover more about the mother she lost at just a few weeks old—and her father. Still drowning in grief, Darren Quinn is reluctant to share memories of his wife, forcing a desperate Clover to take action and create a museum of her mother. Bray writes both perspectives with affecting emotion and a sharp humour that stops this from ever feeling overly sentimental.
