APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In the first of this two-part series from YA author Lauren James, we encounter Katherine and Matthew and their heart-wrenching love story spanning four centuries. James skillfully dreams up dozens of different “sources” to take us from the 1700s to 2039, including diary entries, letters, text messages, newspaper clippings and fridge notes. Weaving together time travel, romance and historical fiction, The Next Together is an amazingly original take on the theme of first love.
I love 'The Next Together' so much! It was a great read that combined the same people into different time zones. I love how the characters had the almost the same personality in each time zone, yet in each time zone they were different people in the community - in one a soldier in another a stable boy! An extraordinarily clever book that was truly fascinating and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this to anybody above the age of 11- including adults! 5 Stars!
2nd fav book ever
After the bible this is my favourite book. I wish it had robots in it though, robots with lasers would have been cool
I lost the plot
This time travel yarn was never going to be an Alex Scarrow 'Time Riders' standard book. On several occasions I forgot which Kate and Matt were which. The only redeeming factor was that the book was free.
