A delightful and heart-warming romance from the bestselling author of DON'T WANT TO MISS A THING and THE UNPREDICTABLE CONSEQUENCES OF LOVE.
When Nancy realises that the jewellery her husband's being buying is NOT for her, it's time to decamp - to her friend Carmen's luxury London flat. Soon Nancy's met gorgeous Connor O'Shea, who lives next door, and his daughter Mia is matchmaking - not least because she'd like to see the back of Connor's current pushy girlfriend. While widowed Carmen feels a spark when a handsome charity worker called Joe calls round. But Joe's not quite all he seems...
And if you love THE ONE YOU REALLY WANT, look out for Jill Mansell's fabulous new novel THREE AMAZING THINGS ABOUT YOU, coming in January 2015.
Detailing many levels of British society, bestselling author Mansell scores again with a multilayered contemporary story of loves lost and found. In Scotland, Nancy discovers her husband has been cheating on her. She flies to London and stays with her best friend, Carmen, a three-year widow of rock star Spike Todd who hides her wealth and identity from the people at the homeless shelter where she volunteers. Spike's brother, Rennie, a charismatic singer who sizzles with energy, also crashes at Carmen's posh home. Soon Nancy's mom joins them for a holiday, and then neighbors descend as well. Drama from familial relationships is intertwined with love relationships that range from teenage crushes to older companionship. Humorous dialogue defines well-drawn characters and adds a fun touch to lives that are spot-on with universal human angst.

Such an addictive read, literally couldn’t put it down, been reading it at work, reading it at home, lunch breaks... would read it again in a heartbeat!
Really not very good
Poor story, unbelievable and yet predictable plot, characters that are meant to be in their twenties sound more like in their 60s (do people really use the words burk and prat so much?) It was free but time isn’t so save yourself and read something else
Easy going holiday read. Loved it from the first page to the last. Totally predictable but who cares
