Surprisingly readable

I almost didn't tap to buy this book, after reading the sample, and when I read on, I wondered whether I would continue.
I'm elderly, to say the least, and am used to reading less 'slush' (I think that is what it's called). Anyway, After I began to see how the book was written and stopped being surprised and having to check what female character I was reading about, I accepted the story for what it was, and began to enjoy it. I can't believe that many real women behave as they did in the book, though.

I liked it because, somehow, the characters interested me. I wanted them all to find balance and happiness in their lives. And, of course, in the end they did.

The story was well told so I excused the silly jokes and word games. And, of course, it had a happy ending. I just hope it isn't a true representation of what most young people get up to these days!
