A great read!

I just read this immediately after having finished Robert Graves' 'The Greek Myths' and found it to be the perfect companion piece. I had often thought about Penelope's experience while Odysseus was away for twenty years and was delighted with Atwood's retelling from the Queen's perspective. It manages to be modern, relevant and thought-provoking, while retaining a sense of humour and close observance to the myth.
