A fun easy read!
This was a story originally told to the writer by his grandmother. He wrote it down to preserve the family lore and the beauty and wisdom of his ancestors. It's a strong story, almost a fairytale, about shining good and powerful evil, coming not from magic but from the hearts of humans. It explores loyalty, jealousy, sacrifice and love, all set in the mystical world of medieval Africa. It's fun and easy to read. Beware though - it ends in a cliffhanger! (The second half is due to come out soon.)
This book is exceptional
After reading this book it has affected me and family a lot. This is because in the story there is greed power and jealousy just like there is in our world and so has made me realise that I should change for the better good as it will help me to help others than myself.
This is one of the best books I have read so far and am looking forward to the next one.
