The Purple Orchid tells the story of a nail salon where four very different women meet and form friendships.
In the case of Jinni, she is the Thai owner of the salon She is successful in business but not so successful in love, until Song a pretty, young Chinese woman appears, but sadly Song may not be all that she seems .
Amara, Jinni’s mixed-race niece has enjoyed a wealthy upbringing with her Thai Father and American mother, but now she has dropped out of UCLA and seems to have lost her way in life. Will she find happiness with the men she meets, or should she return to college to please her parents ?
Ellie is an overweight Englishwoman who is out of her comfort zone living in the USA and trying to find her voice via social activism, but will this all end in disaster?
