The Red Chamber

As his nom de plume indicates, Edogawa Rampo is Japan's answer to Edgar Allen Poe. This tale describes the various ways in which its mad protagonist, T, commits murder after murder in his relentless quest to end the lives of one hundred people--merely to distract him from the boredom that fills every corner of his life. Short but compelling, it is guaranteed to draw readers in before hitting them with an ending they will never see coming!
