Reflective practice is a fundamental aspect of social work. It is now more than 40 years since the publication of the groundbreaking text ‘The Reflective Practitioner: How Professionals Think in Action’ by Donald A. Schön, and yet much of the teaching around reflective practice and the way that we see it has not moved on.
