THE RISING DAWN

Summer of 2006. Emma, a young nurse working for an NGO in Iraq, gets kidnapped by Al Qaeda. Her mother Julie, a therapist living in Paris, drops everything to go to Jordan and participate to the negotiation efforts. There, she is reunited with Emma’s father, who works at the French Embassy in Amman as the military attaché, but did not know he had a daughter. As Emma tries to resist and survive, her parents will make a desperate move to try and secure Emma’s freedom, one that will result in a risky rescue operations launched by the French Armed Forces and the Jordanian Armed Forces.
