Thirty years ago, the Hunter left her home for the human realm to pay off a family debt. Twenty-five years later, she fell in love. With a human.

And then he died.

The Hunter knows it was her fault, that her work killing demons killed him. Now she only wants to return to her realm, away from this concrete jungle, back to the snow-covered forests of home, and she only needs two more kills.

Two more dead demons will pay off the debt, but then history repeats itself and her sole remaining friend, her dead lover's friend, is caught up in the fight. With the demon in her sights, which will she choose: friendship, or honour?

This is a short story of approximately 8000 words.
