The Shape of Things to Come

This book was written for a young friend of mine, and with his permission is now available to all who might also find the story meaningful. The illustrator, Caanan Grall, also deserves all thanks for giving of his time and talents to this project.

This is the story of Liam Forrester, who is struggling. When he falls down the stairs in his new full-torso cast, he worries about trying to protect his family from how he feels. When he discovers that his church is undergoing external reconstruction right before Christmas displays, he doesn't know what to do with his disappointment. And when his class chooses to write a play about an ancient myth, "Theseus and the Minotaur", that he thinks sends a terrible message about the value of other lives... Liam is all out of words. How can Liam make sense of all his frustrations?

The Shape of Things to Come is a story about courage, and how the courage to tell our friends and family how we feel is the most amazing kind of courage of all.
