I reminds me of asprin
This is a compliment this is very much on the same vein as Robert Asprin’s Phule series. It’s got a very similar writing style it is amusing and it’s a fish out of water, misfits company, type of deal. I enjoyed it a lot and will buy the second book.
DNF
This had promise but very quickly stopped being interesting. The moment the first female character is introduced, a strange sexual comment about her for no reason. All of the women characters are written terribly and are all attracted to the main character, even hugging him and asking him to stroke their head within minutes of meeting him????
The main character arrives in a new galaxy, is handed money, a servant, a ship and all the women love him and even comment on the size of his???? We are told that the main character forgoes going to college to let his sisters go instead, he works on a farm, yet he talks like a star fleet captain with extensive knowledge and vocabulary not matching his background. He has no emotion towards his situation of being abducted and just seems to follow around his guide as if he just got a new job with no more mention of his family.
This had the potential to be an interesting story but it reads like one man’s fantasy to be rich, powerful and adored by cat women. Eye roll.
An enjoyable read
The likeable hero of the tale adapts to his abduction by aliens. He has the best streak of luck in his life as he embarks upon a new career. It’s an entertaining, easy-reading romp of a journey that I think you will enjoy.
