The Song of Mark

The first written version of the story of Jesus is here presented as an epic poem in long meter (L. M.), rhymed couplets following the same chapter scheme as the “New Testament” bibles.  Every effort has been made to preserve the content of the prose version, which was written in Greek about 60 years after his death.  The intention of the author is to provide a metered text so that church musicians (or others) can set it to music.  Permission to do so is hereby granted.  A recorded reading by the author is embedded at the beginning of each chapter.
