Publisher Description
A wedding in Spain. The most infuriating man. Three days to convince your family you're actually in love. . .
Catalina Martín desperately needs a date to her sister's wedding. Especially when her little white lie about her American boyfriend has spiralled out of control. Now everyone she knows – including her ex-boyfriend and his fiancée – will be there.
She only has four weeks to find someone willing to cross the Atlantic for her and aid in her deception. NYC to Spain is no short flight and her family won't be easy to fool. . . But even then, when Aaron Blackford – the 6'4", blue-eyed pain in the arse – offers to step in, she's not tempted even for a second. Never has there been a more aggravating, blood-boiling and insufferable man.
But Catalina is desperate and as the wedding gets closer the more desirable an option Aaron Blackford becomes. . .
The Spanish Love Deception is an enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating romance. Perfect for those looking for a steamy slow-burn with the promise of a sweet happy-ever-after.
"Everything you could want in a romance is right here."

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Armas's debut sizzles with chemistry as two colleagues discover real attraction in their pretend romance. Engineer Catalina "Lina" Martín's ex, Daniel, is set to be the best man at her sister Isabel's wedding to his brother, Gonzalo, in their native Spain. Desperate to convince her family that she's over their difficult breakup, Lina invents a fictitious boyfriend to be her plus-one. When Aaron Blackford, a coworker at her New York firm, overhears her talking about this dilemma, he offers to play the role. Lina's confused, given their contentious working relationship, but with no other options, she accepts his proposal and agrees to return the favor by posing as his girlfriend at an upcoming charity event. The attraction between Lina and Aaron intensifies as they spend time together in New York and in Spain, and soon the affection they've been faking becomes all too real. The slow-burning romance heats up the pages as Armas's witty, intelligent protagonists reveal their innermost secrets and overcome their past misunderstandings. The Spanish setting and the zany antics of Lina's family only add to the fun. Rom-com fans will be riveted.

I loved it
It was so cute and it took the perfect amount of time for love to happen for it not to be boring but also not jump straight in
Disappointed
There’s a reason why it’s better to write in your main language. I really wanted to like this. But I couldn’t quite believe in the characters, and the mistakes in the English language (vocabulary, grammar, mangled syntax) got really grating. A good editor would have helped. And what a milquetoast rendering of Spanish swearing- there are nuns in Spanish convents who swear more convincingly.
Loved it! Well done.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was hard to stand the stubborn nature of the main character. But I loved how it was turned and explained by her trauma in the past. Beautiful happy end. Intimate moments were absolutely fantastic! So hot!
