I quite liked this book
I have only recently got into reading and I recommend to people that like a little spook. The book is also easy to read and has short chapters. I enjoyed following the story of these characters and the plot twist at the end.
Spooky!
I really enjoyed this. It sucked me in and held me. It has a great balance of creepy (verging on Horror) and emotional depth in very real characters. We're introduced to Billie, a young woman who two months before came out of a coma to find she could see ghosts. She's not thrilled with her new found talent (she's like a snail pulled into her shell and who could blame her for wanting to stay there). No matter how determined she is to avoid the dead, curious friends (who want to visit a local 'haunted house' drag her into a larger nightmare. This is very well written and though told mainly from Billie's perspective, we do get other characters points of view (which I love). I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next. At the end of this book there is a link that allows one to sign up for the author's newsletter and get book two for free. So if, like one of the other commenters noted, book two is book one...and one is two...problem solved. I'll be buying book three to find out what happens next.
Very spooky
I enjoyed the ghostly tale (which was indeed spooky ) as far as it went, however it all felt a bit - shallow - for the want of a better word. Like there was no depth to the story. Also the ending just wasn't an ending, even allowing for the fact that this is one in a series of books.
