The Surfari

The Surfari is the story of my nine month trip around the world in 1982 - 1983.  The destinations were Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the South Pacific.  Upon completion of a Demonstration Solar Home in Laguna Beach, I organized the trip with my finance, Sonja  Our schedule was guided by tracking the sun for an endless summer.  The primary goal was to experience some of the planets best waves while capturing inspirational images along with the excitement of adventure.  We indulged in the joy and rhythm of the Samba, felt the power of the Atlantic on the Cape of Hope, immersed in elephants near Mt. Kilimanjaro, sensuous nudes on the Seychelloise boulders, captivated by the waves of Uluwatu and tasted the aquamarine dreams of the South Pacific.
