Extremely enjoyable
Very entertaining read from start to finish.
The boring Mr Ripley
Tom Ripley is a not very good con man and fraudster in New York, when he falls on his feet , and is befriended by a rich businessman and tasked with going to Italy to persuade the businessman’s son home. The son is Richard “Dickie” Greenleaf.
After not much happening for ages, two murders, bank fraud and a manhunt after the wrong man enlivens the second half of the book. But it’s so difficult to like Ripley, he’s too entitled to like.
