The Three Wishes

The Three Wishes by Princess Jenny is about a young man who kindly helps an old woman on the road as he is returning home, tired from selling his goods at the market. The old woman turns into a fairy and grants him three wishes for his kindness. The young man uses only one of his wishes and even forgets about the others until he learns that the Lady of high estate is about to give her daughter's hand away in marriage to the most eligible gentleman.
