A convert in the making?
Full disclosure: I'm not really a comic book guy. I like sports, am hugely co-ordinated and have a vibrant and varied social life. I mean no offence to the geeks of the world, I only mean that this is 'not my bag, baby'.
But someone recommended 'reading' this and so I gave it a go... and dammit, did I enjoy it. This is fab! Fab! FAB! It's a comic book for intelligent, eloquent individuals with a quirky sense of humour ("Hulk STRAAAIGHT!") and i now fully understand the difference between a graphic novel and a comic book.
Well, I think I do.
What I do know is that it's going to take a LOT more research and and, by Jove, I'm willing to do it.
Why isn't the last issue included?
The book is actually really good and it's interesting to read the story now and examine all the social and political factors that went into making it but the fact that it doesn't include issue 14 is ridiculous. The Apple book store does not even sell it as a separate issue so this is a bad product in my view.
