The characters in this book are what makes it a very enjoyable read. Each page the "will they won't they" gets stronger until in the end fate takes a hand.
Anne is his 'angel' saving him on several occasions while Chas finally finds his missing link.
The revelations and outcome are very surprising and were definitely never hinted at throughout the book.
