The Vixen’s Bark is the second book in the Paranormal Council series.
Ari, a shifter fox, is single, unlike her twin sister. But she cherishes her position on the Council which she would lose if she settled down. She is expected to meet a nice fox, marry and have a litter of her own…but Ari knows this is not possible. Because Ari has already given her heart to Bjorn.
Bjorn is another Council member and, to make matters worse, a bear shifter. Continuing an affair with another Council member is against all the rules. They would both lose their seats if anyone was to find out, but neither one of them has the power, or the will, to resist one another.
Their destiny was sealed as soon as they met.
I was so pleased when I discovered that Ari and Bjorn are the topic of the second book, as the first hinted at their relationship. If you haven’t read the first book already, read it, you won’t be disappointed!
Laura Greenwood has created another great read.
This is the second short story but even though Ari and Bjorn are mentioned in the first book, it is also a standalone. The cover is, once again, a stunning piece of artwork. Even though I try to avoid being convinced by a cover, it is hard not to be swept away by it.
I picked it up and devoured it in one sitting. Ari and Bjorn’s story is beautiful and sweet, romantic with spicy scenes between them. The characters are likeable, complementing one another. I am totally sucked in by this series and can’t wait to see who is the topic for the others.
Second book does not disappoint
This is the second book in the PC universe. Great story and strong characters make for an enjoyable read.
