The Walk

At the heart of blazing summertime, some individuals are only able to feel their darkest sorrows that mirror the cold loneliness of the harshest of winters. Sometimes, it takes all the strength a person has just to keep going, one foot in front of another, one painful step at a time. 

This is a short story about a woman's thoughts as she takes a lonely walk in the countryside during a humid August evening.
