APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
DI Adam Fawley is fast becoming one of British crime writing’s most compelling leads. In his fifth outing, Cara Hunter takes him to Oxford University to investigate a sexual assault case. A male student is claiming a hugely respected female professor attacked him, and, as usual, there’s plenty for Fawley to reveal under the surface. Meanwhile, his wife Alex is heavily pregnant and being stalked by Gavin Parrie—the serial rapist who Alex helped put behind bars—who has a deeper, sinister plot to gain revenge on the couple.
I’ve read all the previous books but this one was disappointing and hard to follow.
