The Wild Gees

Stanley John Weyman as an English novelist sometimes referred to as the "Prince of Romance". Beginning his professional literary career in middle age, Weyman had a lifetime of experience to share including the insights gained from his extensive travels.

The Wild Gees is a classic of romantic adventure fiction from the greatest of the swashbuckling romancers.1908's The Wild Geese was to have been Weyman's last novel but he added The Great House in 1919 and Ovington's Bank in 1922. The story has a political motive, which deals mainly with an election which took place in England in the early part of Victoria’s reign.
