The Wizard

Derek McPherson thought he was a relatively normal, if ambitious man. He had everything in the world he wanted: a rewarding job, a magnificent home, a great reputation, and being married to the woman he loved. 

Everything changed when his wife was killed. That began his reluctant transformation from reporter to wizard.
