Enjoyable read but just a tad too materialistic
Firstly, let me say how much I admire Eric Stewart. I love his music & he’s most certainly a musical genius. I was late to 10cc and grew up in the 80s.
I enjoyed reading this book but found it sometimes a wee bit materialistic- the cars, the houses and the model wife (who is beautiful).
I wish he’d stuck more to his roots and explored his family more and a tiny thing bothered me - he referred to himself as half ‘Scotch’ and being a Scot myself a Scotch is an egg or whisky!
It’s worth a read though and he’s had a wonderful experience with his life, that some of us can only dream about!
Eric Stewart the heartbeat of 10cc
A brilliant insight into this greatly underestimated musician, vocalist and producer/engineer.
10/10
Eric Stewart
Great read for fans of 10cc and the art of recording great music in the 70’s. The music business and a celebration of a great band. Strawberry Studios and lots of great stories. Top biography, and well written. Eric Stewart doesn’t disappoint.
