INSPIRATION FOR THE THRILLING AMAZON PRIME SERIES JACK RYAN . . .
The spies are being spied on in Tom Clancy's Threat Vector, the latest gripping addition to the Jack Ryan Jr series.
When Jack Ryan Jr, on a highly secret, off-the-books Campus mission in Turkey, discovers that his team's every move is monitored, he knows that US intelligence has been fatally compromised.
Back in the States, President Ryan watches in horror as China's weakened leader bends to a war-mongering general intent on turning the East into a bloodbath. At the same time, America comes under cyber attack from China, crippling government and military infrastructure. President Ryan needs to act: a covert team must go in and neutralise these threats, and the Campus is the perfect fit.
Except a sinister figure known only as the Center is watching the Campus and Jack Ryan Jr's every move. Any misstep will be their last . . .
Jack Ryan is back and he's got everything to play for in Tom Clancy's masterful Threat Vector. The Jack Ryan Jr series also includes The Teeth of the Tiger, Dead or Alive and Locked On.
Praise for Tom Clancy:

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
This highly readable if workmanlike techno thriller from bestseller Clancy and Greaney (Locked On) chronicles the epic struggle between the United States and a China bent on economic and geographic expansion. When China's President Wei Zhen Lin faces drastic economic problems, he becomes a pawn of Su Ke Qiang, chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, who begins to make aggressive moves in the South China Sea. Meanwhile, someone code-named Center is carrying out extremely sophisticated cyber-attacks against U.S. interests around the world. Various other high-stakes actions occur in Turkey, Russia, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and Washington, D.C. Fortunately, the Americans can count on U.S. president Jack Ryan, son Jack Jr., and ex Navy Seal John Clark to combat the Chinese giant. Clancy fans will welcome all the high-tech data as well as heroes who can single-handedly take out whole teams of bad guys.

Good book
This book was definitely a gripping and thrilling read but it lacks some of the sophistication that I have come to look for in novels. Hence I give this book 4 stars.
Trash
I read about 60 pages then deleted it. It's like reading something written at high school. Awkward, clumsy sentences, packed with cliche and completely lacking in atmosphere. Very disappointing.
Mr
Another classic edge of the seat read by the Master of thriller writing..... RIP Tom Clancy.
