APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
There’s a lot to love about Wendy Holden’s gleeful take on wedding culture. For a start, it’s very funny: Holden is a warm writer whose characters are given warm, witty material that makes them very easy to root for. Chief among them is our protagonist, Laura Lake. She’s a wannabe journalist rolling her sleeves up in an unpaid internship on a monthly glossy magazine struggling to make ends meet. Suddenly she’s given a shot at a big, splashy byline by getting on the inside of three very posh weddings. We’re soon plunged into a world of bridezillas, outlandish budgets and surprising drama that’ll keep you roaring through page-after-page.
