It's been ten years since a great war ravaged the land, and its repercussions are still felt. When a band of mercenaries is tasked with retrieving the body of the king's son, Prince Clarus, they find themselves accidentally awakening an Evil long thought dead.

Not all is lost, however, and with the help of not-quite-as-dead-as-we-thought Prince and a forest spirit named Aesling, the band of unlikely heroes might be the only ones who can end the war once and for all.
