Publisher Description
Tilly has spent most of her adult life in an Oxfordshire shelter, unchosen, unwanted and practically feral. Seeking a distraction from her own troubles, the author and renowned pet columnist, Celia Haddon begins a project to transform Tilly into a household pet. Through Tilly's journey from unwanted and unadoptable cat to adored pet, Celia begins to explore her own inward journey and the way that cats had helped her through the difficulties of childhood and middle age, through to self knowledge. By loving Tilly she found she could love her inner self.

Tilly the ugliest cat in the shelter
What a wonderful book ! Having just rescued two kittens living rough on a campsite I can really relate to so many things in this book.
So good to read the progress of Tilly.
A superb read.
Amazing
Emotional, a must read!
Good book for all cat lovers
I enjoyed the book, and it proves the deep love that we humans can have for our cats. I don't agree that Tilly is ugly at all- my own rescue cats are no oil paintings but looks aren't everything!
It it very true that if you are depressed, lonely, or just need someone to love, if you are able to, adopt a cat. Hard work and patience will usually be rewarded a thousand times over. So many out there need good loving homes.
