Jeremiah Jesus hates Germany, so when two American strangers offer him a ride to Switzerland and a chance to see CERN's supercollider, he jumps at the chance to escape. But what should be a simple road trip turns deadly when an unknown assailant forces their car off the road.

George, a young physicist working on experimental atomic clocks, has discovered something disturbing: time doesn't run the same everywhere. His measurements are exposing cracks in reality, and someone is willing to kill to keep that knowledge buried.
