Tool for Learning

iPad at Heronsgate Primary School

Publisher Description

Heronsgate Primary School is a four-form state school across two campuses serving an economically deprived and ethnically diverse area of south east London. Ofsted graded the school as Outstanding in all areas in 2008 and maintained this grading following a monitoring visit during early 2019.

Since 2010, the school has increasingly made use of Apple technology as a tool for learning and now has a 1:1 iPad programme across Key Stage 1 and 2 (5-11 year-olds). Teachers are confident in using a range of Apple technology, utilising Mac, iPad and Apple TV every day.

Our school motto is: ‘We discover and realise the genius in everyone!’ This book aims to give an insight into the broad and balanced curriculum we offer to all children, regardless of background, giving children the best possible start to life.
