In a,former paper, which I did myself the honour, of laying before the Society, I observed that the supposition, that the Parthians were not Persians, and that they had attempted to extirpate the religion of Zoroaster, rested on no sufficient grounds. It may not, then, be devoid of all interest to inquire how far this remark may be considered as correct.
