NOW A MAJOR FILM BY STEPHEN DALDRY AND RICHARD CURTIS
Raphael is a dumpsite boy. He spends his days wading through mountains of steaming trash, sifting it, sorting it, breathing it, sleeping next to it.
Then one unlucky-lucky day, Raphael's world turns upside down. A small leather bag falls into his hands. It's a bag of clues. It's a bag of hope. It's a bag that will change everything.
Soon Raphael and his friends Gardo and Rat are running for their lives. Wanted by the police, it takes all their quick-thinking and fast-talking to stay ahead. As the net tightens, they uncover a dead man's mission to put right a terrible wrong.
And now it's three street boys against the world...
Customer Reviews
Enjoyable and intriguingly written
This was really intriguing and written in an easy style to read that made it feel like the characters were real. The story is complex enough for a mystery and cleverly done, I really enjoyed reading this and feel like I know the boys in the story. Recommended.
Trash
An excellent read, with well formed characters who are utterly believable. Would recommend to readers aged 12+
Fab!
So many emotions in one book: you'll not be able to put it down. I half wish there was a final narrative from one of the villagers, you'll see what I mean. However, somethings are best left to your imagination. Don't hesitate to read this book, it's certainly NOT just for children.
