Publisher Description

Zvone Šeruga, born in 1956, is probably Slovenia’s best-known world traveller and has been sharing his adventures through his work as a freelance journalist and photographer for four decades. He first started travelling far and wide as a hitch-hiking student, then circumnavigated the globe first on his motorbike and later twice with his family in tow. He filmed TV documentaries in some of the remotest corners of the world and now spends much of his time either indulging his love for motorcycle travel or guiding groups of adventure-minded travellers through the tribal areas of Africa and Asia.

He has published nine books about his travels, always focusing on the incredible diversity of people that can still be encountered in the far-flung regions of the modern world.

Tribal Encounters is his first work to have been translated into English. The writing, along with stunning photography and video materials, presents three decades’ worth of travels through the tribal areas of Africa and Asia.
