Trusting Abby

Abby Talmadge is impatient with the time it's taking to locate their missing father.  When she learns one of three men could be him, she jumps in to find out.  The quest isn't as straight forward as she hoped.  The man she came to meet is out of town for two more weeks.

She devises a plan to go undercover on the estate and be front and center when he returns.  The only fly in the ointment is Dev Hamilton, stepson extraordinaire.

Dev Hamilton is protective of his stepfather because of his illness.  When someone out of the blue claims to be his long lost daughter, Dev suspects a scam.  He refuses to even discuss the matter.  Beside, now that his secretary has hired a new gardener, he has other interests in the pretty young woman who will be living on his dad's estate.

Abby's pretense of being a gardener isn't easy, she hardly knows a daisy from a rose.  But she has to convince Dev enough to let her stay until his stepfather returns.  Can the relationship that's starting to bloom between them hold up when her charade is discovered?
