Tynecastle High School

Tynecastle High School is a six-year comprehensive, local authority secondary school which has served west-central Edinburgh with distinction for over 100 years. Our vision is summed up in our motto ‘Tynecastle Cares’, basing our ethos on Challenge, Ambition, Respect, Enjoyment and Success. 


Our 1:1 iPad digital learning programme drives our vision to embed technologies in learning and teaching in order to improve outcomes for all of our learners. The use of technology to help our students achieve their potential further supports our whole school vision that ‘Tynecastle Cares’. We hope this book gives you a flavour of how we do this at Tynecastle High School.
