so much useless stuff in our society
I have never learned anything from society. I learned useful things only from philosophers, mostly from the Stoics, Plato, Schopenhauer and writings from samurais and zen monks. Ironic how what they professed, is almost the complete opposite of what you hear most people sayinh.
This book by Magee is a welcome addition to my collection. It's written very clearly and logically, there's no obscurity of meanings here, unless something's nature is obscure. A useful book written by a sensible philosopher. Highly recommended. This book is far superior than most books written by modern writers, who write for the masses.
