Magnificently written
I have read many, many novels of the Georgian navy and this is among the finest. Mr Russell is a truly wonderful story teller and I count myself extremely lucky to have come across his work. His plots and his character description are created with wit, insight and show a mastery of this naval period. bravo!
I look forward with relish to reading his other works.

Under Enemy Colours is an amazing debut novel from Sean Thomas Russell, excellently capturing the atmosphere and adventure of the first clashes of the Napoleonic Wars - a must read for fans of Patrick O'Brian and Bernard Cornwell!
