Ava is an irresistible force to unmovable mover, Tal. He is drawn to her despite the fact that he’s been taught that she’s off limits. It doesn’t help that she’s his light in a very dark world.

If she’s not for him why does he dream of her? Why does he feel he’s being told to break every rule beaten into him? Why can he not stop watching her?

Ava thinks of trying out a modern Earth custom and having a fling. With a Demon no less. It doesn’t make sense when she’s never enjoyed them in the past. Tal makes her think of things she’s never experienced. Could he be the one being in the universe she doesn’t want to forget her?

Even after he painfully rejects her, she still wants him. After he walks away, he craves her.

Stronger forces than they realize are pulling them together and no Demon can fight against the strongest pull of all.
