Really imaginative
Great read! It did take me a while to actually get into it as its not the type of book I normally read, but after 100-200 pages in I was finding myself up all silly hours reading this book! The author did a fantastic job especially keeping me guessing with the Malcolm character and what a great one he was too I will be defiantly reading more of his books as his mind/imagination is beautiful.
Disappointing ending
Like some of the previous reviewers have already stated, this is a mainly well written book (although there are a lot of grammatical errors) but the ending feels rushed. Also, as previous reviewers have already noted, there was supposed to have been a sequel but nobody can find one, even now after more than 10 years of this novel’s publication. Maybe this sequel would have resolved things but I guess we may never know.
Most enjoyable
It's nice to read a modern SiFi book that picks up on a classic SiFi theme.
I could picture the clinical clean white surroundings that the citizens had provided for themselves. Which contrasted with the grey dirty environment left for the less fortunate.
