Vanity's Pleasure

David Devonshire has struck again, this time he has turned the tables on his sister.
Vanity Devons wasn't pleased that her big brother David had set up a meeting with Nigel Strathmore, a stodgy British textile manufacturer for an exclusive line of silks. But there was something about Nigel.

The problem was she liked him. A great deal.

Nigel Strathmore proposed to Vanity Devons over the phone, laying a carefully thought out plan to make her his wife. "If you truly want me, come and get me," she told him in jest, knowing that he did not like to fly. Especially over water.

The surprise was on her when he showed up at her brother's wedding, to accept her offer.
