Water

Unit 1 Year 7 Geography for the Australian Curriculum

Publisher Description

I have written this book to engage students in Geography.  My aim in writing this book is to support student learning in my classroom and other classrooms, to enhance teaching and learning through the use of technology and  to support the delivery of Year 7 Geography in the Australian Curriculum.  The focus of this book is the Geographical study of Water for Year 7 students.

Water in the world focuses on water as an example of a renewable resource.  This unit examines the many uses of water, the ways it is perceived and valued, its different forms as a resource, the ways it connects places as it moves through the environment, its varying availability in time and across space, and its scarcity.
