Customer Reviews
Rich girls don’t marry poor boys! Or do they?
White Knight reminded me of books like The Great Gatsby or Gone With the Wind. Catherine Barrington is the belle of the village. A town is named after her ancestors. The bones of said ancestors are interred in the family cemetery. She is the rich girl, Catherine of the Roses, and we all know rich girls don’t marry poor boys.
The Barrington family fall on hard times, think of Scarlett making dresses from curtains! Catherine sells off the family treasures to help the people of the village. In return they love her and sister Harper completely.
Young Catherine fell in love with a poor boy, Chris Carmichael. White Knight is the story of how they fell in love, how they were ripped apart and how the loss of a beloved pet turned the world around.
I loved this book and how the Prince Charming story is woven into it. I wish I had read King of Code first but hey ho - I’ve read it now. I’m up to speed, and if anyone would like to come and paint some flying monkeys on my ceiling, please do so.
