Gripping romance
Right from the start this story pulls you into the world of a workaholic Vice President of a news company. Megan is so involved in herself that not only does her ex-girlfriend cheat on her she lives with the thought of never loving again
That's until her friends push her into a vacation that turns out to be her first in five years. So they end up in Alaska kayaking along a canyon. Megan first appears rude to her guide Chaz which later turns out that Chaz looks like Megan's cheating ex. As your pulled into the journey of the canyon, great out doors, camping, hiking and the wildlife and the start of true love which is encompassed with a little jealousy. You come to love the relationship that Megan and Chaz long for. After a freak accident where Megan is thrown from her kayak, it's Chaz that looks after her and awaits the air ambulance. During that night of thunder storms and rain they seal the love that's long been coming during the trip, Chaz finally gives in and tells Megan how she feels, it turns out that Megan feels the same. The following morning Megan leaves for hospital and Chaz is left wondering before meeting up with the group. It's at the end of trip that Chaz hands a letter to Megan's friend Justine explaining how she actually feels. It's at this point tears start as your so drawn into the story that you can actually feel for both parties. Cut short Megan realises that the great out doors is where she belongs and surprises Chaz by turning up and sitting in on a lecture. Finally together after four months apart Megan tells Chaz about her ex, Chaz feels for her and states that she is prepared to take a sabbatical for a year and live in Chicago Megan is speechless and realises she is so in love with Chaz that she finally tells her that she has come home to do a TV documentary for the station. It's at that point you realise how well written this story is and how much you've been gripped. I'm a fan of this writer and can't wait to read more, I'm hoping for a second book to follow on. Well worth the days read, loving romance built into great scenery. Thank you
