Whip Crack Away - Finally!
I just can't seem to get enough of The Wicked Horse series, and I've been desperately waiting for the story of Bridger Payne. We are on book 5 in the series and Bridger has been in each and every one, taking a very active part in each storyline. I was left "needing" to hear his story, and, finally we have it, and it's everything I expected and more. Bridger has major trust issues, stemming from his very early teens, and he is resigned to believe he is not worthy. Maggie is dealing with a very volatile ex lover and needs assistance, help comes in the guise of the beautifully broken Bridger. They both enter a convenient 'just for now' relationship and sparks are flying. Bridger however is not willing to accept a deeper relationship, he needs to put to rest all the ghosts from his past before being able to move forward in a relationship. Is he able to do that before Maggie takes her broken heart and finds someone new to help her repair it? A fab story told in dual POV that has still not quelled my need for more Wicked Horse shenanigans (I can't seem to get enough). Another winner from me. Highly recommend, a must read for Wicked Horse fans. I received an arc of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
